False Hemlock is what happens when a few folks feel a magnetic pull toward each other and choose to turn it into music. You can hear it in the way they sing together, and in how they build music and community slowly, with intention. For the past few years, they’ve been lucky enough to find themselves in rooms full of strangers — sold-out crowds at the Tractor Tavern, open skies at Timber Fest, the patchwork gatherings of Folklife and PrideFest. But they bring the same quiet urgency to all of it: the desire to hold what’s tender and impossible about being alive. The pain and the wonder. The slow, unfolding forest of us.
